Job Description
Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and cafeteria operations, daily meal delivery routing, employee management, food procurement,
preparation, production, service, inventory, delivery, quality and safety.  Serve as the team leader to mentor and teach team members
about the food service industry and culinary world.


Plan and write fresh, healthy, culturally appropriate, delicious and nutritious meals that are compliant with USDA / NYS Child and
Adult Care Food Program, NYC Food Standards and the NYC Department of the Aging.

Supervise and train team members in the planning, preparation, cooking, packaging, serving and delivery of meals.
Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes and presentation of food. 

Ensure food safety standards and sanitation practices are maintained.

Conduct scheduled routine physical inventories, ordering of food and supplies and store food in accordance to
the NYC Department of Health food safety standards and regulations.

Process invoices for payment, create purchase orders and manage the cost of food sold according to the approved budget.

Direct cleaning and sanitation of the dining and kitchen areas including equipment, utensils and maintenance of kitchen equipment and vehicle.

Ensure customer satisfaction by regularly communicating via email, phone and regular site visits.

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

3+ years of experience in food service management with cooking, front and back of the house and event catering experience
overseeing a high volume catering business with regular delivery.

Experience in staff supervision, procurement, inventory management, fiscal accountability. 

Ability to cost and price menus by portion and manage cost of food sales.  

Proficient computer skills are required, including MS Word and Excel.
